Why "Rebellious Wellness"?
I chose Rebellious Wellness because I believe real healing begins when we stop trying to live by rules and systems that were never meant for us. So much of this work is about unlearning what’s kept you small, reclaiming your voice, and building a life that feels deeply true to who you are. That’s the kind of rebellion I believe in, the kind that leads to peace and authenticity.

What kinds of concerns do you most often work with?
Much of my work centers on supporting adults navigating the lasting impacts of complex trauma—whether from childhood experiences, high-control environments, or harmful relationships—and helping them find healing and self-trust again. I also work frequently with ADHD (including late diagnoses), anxiety, and identity exploration. Many of my clients are part of the LGBTQ+ community or exploring nontraditional relationship styles, and it’s important to me to offer a space that feels deeply affirming and nonjudgmental. Do you take insurance?
I don’t accept insurance directly. A big reason for this is that insurance companies often place limits on therapy, like requiring certain diagnoses, restricting session frequency, or interfering in treatment decisions. By not billing insurance, I’m able to keep our work flexible, more private, and tailored to what actually supports you, not just what meets insurance requirements.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a receipt for you to request possible reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Learn more about rates here. -
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I understand that the cost of therapy can be a real barrier, and making services accessible matters deeply to me. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots and am happy to talk with you one-on-one about options that could make therapy feel more doable.
-
What if I feel like I need therapy, but I'm not sure why?
That’s completely okay, and honestly very common. You don’t need a clear reason or a big crisis to reach out. Many people start therapy simply knowing something feels heavy, stuck, or confusing. Our sessions can be a space to gently explore what’s beneath the surface, make sense of what you’re feeling, and start finding more clarity and ease in your life.
-
How long are sessions, and how often would we meet?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes, but I also offer shorter 30-minute sessions or longer 90-minute sessions when that feels more supportive. Most clients start with weekly sessions, and we can adjust the length and frequency over time. One of my core values is keeping therapy flexible and accessible, so we’ll figure out a rhythm that truly works for you.
-
What can I expect in a first session?
Our first session is really just a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and I’ll share a bit about how I work. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at your pace and make sure you feel comfortable as we start.
-
Do you have an office space/where are you located?
I currently offer therapy sessions online only. After 2020, it became clear that telehealth can be just as effective as in-person therapy & the demand for quality online services grew quickly. Meeting virtually allows for more flexibility, removes the stress of commuting, and lets you have sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home. I know that for some people, being in a physical space with a therapist feels important, and that’s completely valid too. My goal is to make therapy accessible and supportive, wherever you are - in Indiana, Ohio or Illinois where I am licensed.

What's your approach to therapy?
At its core, my work is trauma-informed—I value curiosity, compassion, and working alongside you rather than “fixing” you. Every person’s needs are different, so I tailor our sessions to what feels most supportive for you. I often draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work and EMDR to help untangle old wounds and reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been pushed aside to survive. I also weave in somatic and narrative approaches as needed, creating space for your mind, body, and story to heal in a way that feels safe and empowering.
